Yes. Anonymous visitors can run 5 scan attempts per hour without an account. A free account gives 50 scan attempts per 30 days and history of your last 3 scans. What's the difference between automated and manual accessibility testing?
Automated checks can find issues such as missing alt attributes, color contrast failures, missing form labels, and invalid ARIA usage. Their coverage depends on the page and the checks used; there is no fixed percentage that proves conformance. Manual review is needed for meaningful alternatives, keyboard flows, screen-reader behavior, and other requirements. A11yScope marks findings that need human review. A score or a scan with no detected violations does not establish WCAG conformance.
Do I legally need WCAG compliance for my website?
Legal duties depend on your jurisdiction and type of organization. US federal-agency technology is subject to Section 508; state and local governments have a separate ADA Title II rule. Businesses serving the public have ADA Title III obligations. Review the requirements that apply to your organization.
